A semiprecious variety of chalcedony quartz that is a used often in jewelry. When chalcedony is variegated with spots or figures, or arranged in differently colored layers, it is called agate; and if by reason of the thickness, color, and arrangement of the layers it is suitable for being carved into cameos, it is called onyx. White Onyx, a semi-translucent white to slightly yellowish-white stone, was often used as a background in Victorian jewelry, especially for cameos.

For the first time in 1982, the NS-2000 is an enhanced version of the old NS-1000 Speaker it was first made in the early and mid 1970s. Like the NS-1000, is a 3-way acoustic speaker system with a suspension and a beryllium-dome tweeter midrange. However, the NS-2000 speaker is totally new, made of pure carbon fiber instead of paper. The cabinet has also been enhanced and is larger and heavier that the NS-1000.
The NS-2000 was superior to Yamaha-of-the-line products, star speaker when it debuted. A few years later, there was the NSX-10000 in limited numbers and is very similar to the NS-2000. The NS-1000xw occurred shortly after the NS-2000, and is essentially a smaller version of the NS-2000. Also of note on the line Yamaha of beryllium-dome speakers is the GF-1.
Woofer
The woofer is made of pure, long carbon fibers that were manufactured in the leaves. Eight of the leaves are linked together to make a cone. The cap in the center is also a carbon fiber sheet formed in a dome. The woofer magnet is 11,350 Gauss and 220,000 Maxwell. The frame is diecast aluminum.
The original boulder in the woofer is made of polyurethane and designed for optimal audio performance. However, it is often fragile and deteriorated in NS-2000 speakers. Fortunately, the replacement of the bank can do for repairers speaker and woofer can continue working.
