Old TV, change resolution to 640x480?
i have one of those cables that you use to get your pc screen into another monitor (like a TV og a projector).
I have 2 really old TVs. 1 of them have a place to put the wire. (blue, elongated thing).
The problem is, the TV has screen resolution 640x480, and I cant seem to be able to get this on my computer, the lowest I can go it 600x400. How do I change it?
Because the thing is, if I plug it in now, it gets flashy, blurry, wavey, weirdly coloured, displaced screen on the TV 
Does anyone know how to get my resolution on my TV or PC to change so that I can use it as my screen? Or is the TV too old?
(I have "Inter(R) Graphics Media Accelerator For Mobile" graphics card if that helps)
Old boob-tube TVs suck for use as monitors because they only accept low-definition composite analog signals. Crappy image quality is just the nature of the beast. Nothing you can do to improve it.
If you want to use a TV as a monitor, you want a high-definition TV set with high-bandwidth connections like HDMI or VGA, which is FAR superior to the crappy composited signals used by old boob-tubes.
