Getting Started

First, congratulations on your new or pending birth. Secondly, congratulations on your wise decision to breastfeed your blessing nothing new. Breastfeeding not only provides superior nutrition and enhanced immunity from disease, but also helps create a deep and lasting bond between mom and baby. This is a wonderful time, magic and try to keep these cherished memories for the rest of his life. Having said that, as natural and wonderful as breastfeeding is that it can be difficult to get the hang of in the first weeks.

Latch

The first thing we learn is how to get the baby to latch. It's a good idea to try to nurse the baby as soon after birth as possible. This is when the baby's instinct is stronger and the baby can latch immediately with very little direction from you.

Positioning is very important. Your nurse, midwife or support person can help breastfeeding show several different positions for feeding your baby in position most common is the football hold where the mother is sitting and holding the baby in one arm. Breastfeeding is a wonderful and rewarding experience. Breastfeed babies have proven to be more healthy and more intelligent than bottle-fed babies. It's not just milk, but the skin at the junction of the skin between the mother and baby that makes the difference. Learn breastfeeding may seem difficult at first and may require much patience, but within a couple of weeks the mother and baby are breastfeeding experts.
