Eternity Rings Full or Half ? Encased or on view ?

What do women prefer as an eternity ring generally ? Do they prefer full or half ? Do they prefer the diamonds to be encased/channeled or out on view if that makes sense. Any help would be appreciated.

1/2 eternity rings 9which can be sized) with channel set stones are more comfortable because the sides don't bite into your fingers. I'd prefer larger stones than ones that will be hidden on the underside of the ring.
