Alchemy in reverse! Who knows how change gold/ yellow to a nice deep turqoise?
I have managed to tone down the bright yellow brick wall,with a rag-rolled glaze but stilll can't live with It.I have 3 litres of the paint left! and think a deep turqoise, would be easier on the eye and contrast nicely with the Greek blue
Take care when re - tinting paints as over loading tints can have disastrous effects on the quality and characteristics of the paint and it's finish.....
You will find that most likely the yellow was made with a light tint base product..... and a dark turquoise would require a deep tint base as more tint is required to set it to the shade required...
If you put the cost of buying a tin/bottle of tint (blue deep ) and also a tin/bottle of red ( needed to balance the depth of colour) with possible black as well to finally achieve the desired shade/colour....then you will find it more cost effective to purchase the new paint tinted to start with.....
unless you can get the tints for free? ........
The trick is to make up your mind BEFORE you buy the paint......... sample pots are available.......
