What color carpet should I replace my old carpet with?
I am going to be using remnants because I can't afford new carpet. My room has aquamarine blue walls and light mahogany trim. I also have a lot of light lime green picture frames on the walls.

You have a lot of color on the walls. I would stick with a deep/medium beige to match the trim.

Everyone familiar with the emerald, one of the four traditional gemstones. But many people do not account that the emerald is a member of a notable family called beryl gemstone. The other, less famous, beryl include aquamarine, morganite, golden beryl bixbite.
It is fair to say that the delicate blue-green aquamarine Beryl is the second most famous, if not the rarest. Bixbite, red beryl is extremely rare and is in a few places in Utah and New Mexico in the U.S.. Aquamarine is found in most places where it is common beryl, including Brazil, Australia, Burma, China, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Pakistan, USA, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Although aquamarine and emerald belongs to the same family are strikingly different. Both are beryllium aluminum silicate. Where is emerald green and and traces of chromium or vanadium, aquamarine is by iron. But while Emerald must have essentially the same density and refractive index, emerald tends to be rather confusing and included, while aquamarine usually has excellent transparency and clarity.
Despite the beryl gems are quite hard - Rating 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale - emerald has always been considered a bit tricky due to jewel many inclusions. Emeralds are usually oil to fill cracks and improve color. Aquamarine, however, requires no special treatment and is suitable for all jewelry, including rings.
The intensity of color and clarity of the stone are the most important criteria in the evaluation of aquamarine. Deep aquamarine blue are rare and command higher market prices of gemstones in the world but remains deep blue aquamarine-blue pastel. Unlike other gems, aquamarine, not diminished by lower intensity of color - that many people prefer clearer glass gems lighter than the darker color. You will find aquamarines in a wide range of shapes and cuts.
Aquamarine derives its name from the Latin term for seawater, and has a long tradition as a lucky stone of the seaman. The Greeks and Romans knew aquamarine gem of sailors, to ensure the safe passage and prosperous through stormy seas. Legend has it that aquamarines were the prized possessions of the sirens and therefore would have to protect sailors from danger, including dizziness guard.
