Nikkor Lens Question...?
I just got my new Nikkor AF-S DX 18-135 mm lens today but I had a question. When manually focusing, I can go past the mark on the ring. For example, If I go all the way out to infinity, I can still turn the ring father to the left, but it feels resistant and odd. Is this normal?
PS: Continuing to turn the ring past doesn't change the focus at all, but the ring still turns around, it just doesn't feel as smooth.
Yup.. Many of the newer AF Nikkor lenses have slip clutches built in now and this turning of the focus ring is normal.
