Horse racing facility or library? Well ladies and gentlemen, no longer have to choose between the two. Now here is a place that offers both in one place.
I no longer have to travel all those miles for a trip to the library only to discover that the horse to buy.
Located in Lexington, Kentucky, and operated by the Keeneland Association, Inc., the world's leading thoroughbred horse auctions that also conducts thoroughbred racing world class each year in April and October, Keeneland is a thoroughbred race horse race track facility and sales complex with a reference library housing the sport more ten thousand volumes, plus an extensive collection of videotapes and a large crowd of negatives of photos and newspaper clippings.
Above a period of 70 years, Keeneland has been serving its customers with the executive of the state of the art of horse racing, race horses and even a dedicated library to provide complete information on any and all breeds of horses.
Founded in 1935 as a competition and non-profit entity in 147 acres Auction agricultural land west of Lexington and was owned and operated by Jack Keene. Since its inception, it has been using the proceeds from the races and auctions to promote industry Thoroughbred and contribute to the surrounding community.

Most of the racing scenes of the 2003 movie Seabiscuit were shot at Keeneland by the fact that his appearance has changed relatively little in recent decades. Lately, however, traditions have given way to many innovations.
The most important of which is the redevelopment of the main runway and the replacement of the ground surface with Polytrack surface property over the summer of 2006 in time for its autumn session of the race.
The track has a one and a sixteenth miles (1710 m) oval Polytrack Furlong seven and a half (1509 m) oval of grass. As noted above, the Polytrack surface that between April 2006 and October meetings.
Apart from its racing facilities, Keeneland is also known for its horse auctions. Keeneland has four annual horse auctions this important source of attraction area.
Keeneland Association, Inc. also owns half interest in Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky, casino and entertainment giant Harrah's circuit has the advantage of the other half. Through Turfway, Keeneland also owns a part Downs Kentucky, near Franklin, Kentucky.
