Cross tattoo designs on them to go back a long, long time. Obviously, the cross symbolizes certain religious beliefs, but there are many other meanings and types. I will be discussing a couple of them here. This article takes a look at the cross itself, as well as designs and meanings that surround them.
As mentioned above, probably the first idea that comes to mind when one imagines a cross is a religious connotation. All religions and Christian denominations are based on the cross, because Christ's crucifixion. The cross has become synonymous with Christianity. The Celtic Cross is somewhat similar in design, but in general has a great circle connecting the arms of the cross. In the 1960s, this symbol was often a surfer at the center of and it was colloquially called "surfers from the Cross", exemplified by "Big Daddy Roth"
