Prom ideas?!? Grecian Goddess hair and makeup tips?

So I'm going for the theme of Grecian Goddess this year for prom! I have it narrowed down to two dresses, and both are ivory chiffon pillar dresses ( I wish I knew how to add pictures to this, or I would SO post them!) Dress #1 has onyx stones at neckline, iwth silver,gold,and bronze threading. The other one (Dress #2) is a deep v-neck with a goldish broock at point of V. they are both lovely! With Dress #1 though, I couldn't wear a necklace since the neck is so beautiful already! so waht would you suggest for jewelry with that? For Dress #2, I'm sorta torn because I don't know if I should wear a neckalce or not!
And, si nce I'm going for the Goddess look, how should I do my hair and makeup?!?
I'm COMPLETELY LOST in those aspects, so any advice you have will really help me!

I know that proms can get REALLY hot and sweaty, so I wouldn't overdo your makeup unless you had a good eyeshadow base like Urban Decay's Primer Potion ($17 on sephora.com) and waterproof mascara. Mary Kay has an eyeshadow primer also that I have heard about, but I do not know how well it works. I've used Urban Decay's, so that's why I recommend it.

Since gold seems to be the main color, and pairs well with ivory and will make your skin glow, I'd recommend the following:

1) Do your base makeup first (i.e. foundation, eyeshadow base, etc.) Remember, you'll only need clear skin for the photos which are usually taken BEFORE the dancing. Otherwise, you're probably going to sweat it off.

2) Put on face powder, if you use it. I would though, because it sets the foundation. If you have a kabuki brush, use that for even distribution.

3) Sweep a light shimmery gold/beige eyeshadow all over eyelid up to the brow. Also, put a little into the inner corner of your eye to make them brighter.

4) Add an accenting darker gold or maybe even light bronze eyeshadow onto the outer edge of the crease/eyelid. Blend together.

5) Use a brown liquid eyeliner and line your top lid and wing it out towards the edge for a slight cats-eye look. Use a similar shade of brown on your bottom lash-line, but don't overdo it. If you want, you can go over you bottom line with some of the gold/bronze eyeshadow.

*NOTE*
If you're going to use false eyelashes, put them on before lining your eyes. The eyeliner helps them to blend in.

6) Apply mascara (preferably brown also, because you want to look as naturally glamourous and goddess-like as possible ^_~ This will also help the false lashes blend in.

LIPS

For lips, I'd go with a peachy hue, or maybe even pink. If you're feeling really daring, and since the eyeshadow isn't too overpowering, you COULD try a subtle red stain, because it will still look natural. Stick or gloss, it's up to you.

Also, you may want to add gold dust to your face and/or cleavage, which is also up to you.

HAIR

I'd go for loose curls that are either tastefully piled up on your head, or left down (still loosely curled) and pulled back with a barrette. Ribbons would be a cute touch also.

As for the necklace, it depends on how you like the look as a whole.
