How much food is wasted at your house?
The reason I ask is I was appauled by the amount of food that was leftover at my mother-in-laws house this weekend.
Here is what was left, after I packed up all that my husband and I could eat this week:
1/4 lg. stockpot vegetable soup
1 lg oval crockpot chili
9x13 pan (single layer) fried chicken pieces
6-7 sm. thin-sliced fried pork chops
6 cups instant mash potatoes
3 cups fried apples
1 wide-loaf pan lemon cake
I was raised to just cook enough for everyone at dinner, use what is going to spoil in the fridge first, and eat leftovers for lunch. Maybe I am weird, but that seems like an awful lot of food to go to be thrown out.
I think your mother-in-law was used to cooking for a big family and hasn't gotten over that.
My mom used to do the same for a time after my siblings and I left home.She went from a family of 11 (nine children) to a family of four in quite a short period of time.Had a hard time adjusting.
You're lucky to be able to take food home with you.Next time,you could take more and freeze some for later or try to get her to do the same thing.Cooked food freezes well.Place in airtight containers in portions you can use for a meal.Saves a lot of time on bust days.

Dandruff is a common problem sclap. A morbid condition of the sclap is emergene of dandruff is caused by excessive sebaceous gland secretion. Dandruff is contagious and personal items like comb, towel, etc. of the patient should not be used by others.
