double-row malt ?
Beer brewers talk about "single row" or "double row" malt... to my understanding, "malting" means letting the grain just barely begin to sprout, then drying it before the plant can grow. So what's the difference between how many "rows" of malt ? Something to do with how many grains have sprouted, or how much the sprout grows, etc ?
When referring to "malt" by itself, it implies malted barley. The rows refer to the rows of seed kernels on a single stalk of barley. Two row (not double row) has two. The other (less commonly seen) is six row. Six row barley has smaller kernels but there is a higher concentration of enzymes per kernel.
Malting is just as you said, partially germinating the seeds. If you're using a grain other than barley, it's mentioned in the name, like malted wheat, malted corn, etc. These are much less frequently found as they are much more difficult to malt consistently without clumping, rotting, or sprouting too far before kilning to stop the sprout. They also don't have the same concentration of enzymes for starch conversion (mashing).
In the context of brewing supplies, unless it is specifically noted that the malt is six row, they'll all be two row malts regardless of whether it's a pale malt, crystal malt, chocolate malt, etc. They're all different variants on malted two row barley.

Hundreds of years ago, a rice trader in Japan developed a system to record the ups and downs of prices per day as rice was bought and sold on the wholesale market - a system that registers as a picture of the underlying psychological inputs that led traders buy and sell at any particular time. This was an important improvement over a single line "registration price, which showed that only the opening price, closing price, and high and low of the day. What he did was "fat off" line in a cylinder that left the signs of extreme highs and lows in their place, but that marked the opening and closing prices within the cylinder rather than simply as points in a vertical line. If the closing price the day was higher than opening price, left the empty bottle, or "white". If the day's closing price was below the opening price, filled the cylinder, or actually "black." One of the great advantages of Candlestick screen is not trying to usurp or override any of the indicators of the "Western" to which we have become accustomed. Rather, the works in great harmony with them, and in any case, tends to increase its value.
More and more, Candlestick technical analysis has become the basis of many an investment newsletter, the trade chat, and educational forums, the issue that is the pattern of development and training that is characteristic of this method of displaying prices.
Chandeliers are sometimes strange in its ability to predict major turning points. A good example is the action price of the Dow Industrials in May 2008. The Dow Jones weekly charts of the week of 2 May and 8 May showed a clear "double top" (in "Western" terms), together with two strong "Bearish Engulfing" pattern in a row. Closer investigation using daily charts shows a double top in second place, which was formed by the price bars on 2 May and 19 May, together with (again) model strong Recession formed by negotiation the next day. These two sets of signals, the predictors together, were reaching a significant price decline to continue. In fact, the prediction was amply fulfilled, as prices fell from a peak of 13,125 about 19 May to a low of about 10,823 on July 15 - a fall of 17.5%.
This is an excellent example of mutual reinforcement of the signals that are emitted by the "Western" and the indicators of Japanese Candlesticks. When used together, can be a powerful tool for all investors and the focus of market trader.
