Using a smoker box on your grill is a great way to give your smaller meals a grand total, the smoky taste. You can find in all sizes and prices. Perfect for smoking fish, steak, ribs, chicken and more! I recently got one and it was easier to get that smoky flavor very small meals to use my heavy smoker. Of course, if I had a big kitchen work, I would choose to use the smoker, but for small cooking tasks, you could find that use a smoker box is a great way to go.
To use the smoker box, get a bag of wood chips like hickory or mesquite chips (not use pieces)
* Soak wood chips in about 20 minutes. (or a full day.)
* With the lid open or off and fill the box with chips wood.
* Place smoker box on top of rocks or briquettes on one side of the grill.
* Light your grill, as you would normally.
* When the smoke seems to start the cooking process.
* The smoke lasting approximately 15-20 minutes and will improve the flavor of your favorite dish.
* Before returning to use any box, dispose of all waste in the box, stuffed with fresh and reuse.
TIP: What can I do with my box smoking is that I go ahead and start cooking the meat as usual, making sure to brown the meat before the picture begins to smoke. Once the box starts smoking, I turn down or turn off the side of the grill opposite the smoker box and transfer of all meat on that side. (opposite the smoker box) Meat must already burned and almost cooked by now, and now are mostly only taste of the meat with the smoke of the smoker box.
Different wood chips used for smoking:
Hickory wood is a great purpose, especially recommended for all cuts of pork and chicken.
Apple is exceptionally good for fish and poultry. The green wood, the sweet taste of smoke is being provided.
Other fruit woods such as cherry, mulberry, pear and peach are good for fish and poultry, including any lack wild.
Grapevine is also good for fish and poultry, including any lack wild.
Pecan wood is another good all effects, recommended for all cuts of pork.
Use khaki with beef or pork. It's also good for wild game.
The bark, roots and pieces Sassafras wood is good for the smoke flavor in fish and poultry.
