What is your favorite female singer band from the Punk/New-Wave era?

I love the era of music from the late 70s to mid 80s. The Post-Punk and New Wave sounds are sorely missed these days in this modern music. Which band from that era has your favourite female singer in it? I love Blondie but I'd have to say that Siouxsie and the Banshees is my fav.

My era! Gawd I was just a lass in the early 70's, it was fantastic. David Bowie amazing, Wizard with Roy Wood, stunning (then there is the one who shouldn't be mentioned anymore G.G.) However, the best punk band (in my humble opinion ) was The Clash! Cannot be beaten, lol:-D

I must have been half asleep when I answered this cos I honestly didn't see the female singer bit! lol:-) I was never a big Blondie/Debbie Harry fan, my brother really liked her though so that could explain it - sibling rivalry. If one of us liked someone the other loathed them, lol:-(
I was very much into Siouxie and the Banshees, very early punk, and then the later B 52's after that my tastes tended to alter and I went more into rock/metal!
